Akadinda
Our Akadinda has been inspired by a traditional African xylophone. It’s robust and natural looking design makes it perfect for outdoor play and learning.
Allowing up to four players at a time, the Akadinda brings children together to play, improvise and influence one another as they discover music during recess.
Huge notes made from hardwood give this instrument a naturally mellow, low tone which is tuned to the pentatonic scale in C major A2-D2.
The traditional Akadinda was made from banana stems, ours has been built from treated timber. The sturdy construction of the instrument makes it safe to install into the ground or to a surface mount.
